Mr. Buffet, No one is stopping you from sending a check to the Treasurey Department

We’ve seen Warren Buffet and his pal Bill Gates complain several times about their terrible “I’m not taxed enough” problem. Mr. Buffet recently wrote an Op-Ed stating his case for why he believes the “mega-rich” should be taxed at a much higher rate than the middle and lower class.

From the New York Times:

“But for those making more than $1 million – there were 236,883 such households in 2009 – I would raise rates immediately on taxable income in excess of $1 million, including, of course, dividends and capital gains. And for those who make $10 million or more – there were 8,274 in 2009 – I would suggest an additional increase in rate.”

Putting aside the obvious fact that increasing taxes on many of those 236,883 millionaires who file their taxes as an individual through their business will freeze job growth, we’re going to let MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan make an even more important point:

If you honestly feel that you’re not being taxed enough, why not send a check to the Treasury Department? In fact, we’ll even give you a head start by providing you with their address:

Department of the Treasury
1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, D.C. 20220
